    How do timer relays work?

    The working principle of the timing relay is as follows:

    First, apply the supply voltage to the timer relay.

    Second, the microprocessor starts to boot.

    Next, the microprocessor reads the information from the interface. The interface consists of different adjustment possibilities on the front of the timer. The time function, time range and fine-tuning of the desired delay time must be set via rotary switches and potentiometers.

    In the fourth step, the microprocessor reads the information of the control input, such as the control input used to start the delay. This information from the timer is used to start the action and is called the "start pulse" or "trigger".

    Now the timer starts working.

    When the output relay is energized, the load current acts like a contactor to power the connected equipment.

    Timer relays are suitable for a wide range of applications including:

    Machines: stand-alone, star-delta motor starting, industrial automation and processes

    Buildings: Lighting Controls, Automatic Doors, Parking Barriers, Roller Shutters

    Mechanical cycle switching, such as turning on fans weekly to keep them from getting stuck or flushing pipes to keep them clear.

    Lighting control, e.g. delayed switching of rows of lights in production facilities or greenhouses.

    Time-controlled startup or shutdown of machinery, e.g. delayed shutdown of a conveyor belt or continuous shutdown of a plant.

    Trigger an alarm when a fault is detected, for example, allowing lights in industrial applications or rolling stock to flash.

    Star-delta motor start-up, for example, reduces the start-up current with a transition delay to prevent phase-to-phase short circuits.

    Number of output contacts.

    time limit. (Example: 0.05 seconds - 100 hours, 05 seconds - 10 minutes)

    Special features such as voltage-dependent triggering, voltage-free triggering and remote potentiometer connections.
